(CNN)A plane has crashed in Washington thunder after a mechanic stole it from the Seattle-Tacoma Worldwide Airport, the Pierce County Sheriff’s space of business acknowledged.
The plane took off without authorization and without passengers Friday night with “an airline worker” at the controls, airport officers tweeted Friday.
The plane went down on Ketron Island, which is about 40 miles southwest of the airport, the sheriff’s space of business acknowledged.
The mechanic has handiest been identified as a 29-year-aged man from Pierce County, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer tweeted.
It is a long way believed the mechanic’s lack of flying skills ended in the crash, Troyer acknowledged.
In a tweet, Alaska Airways acknowledged a Horizon Air Q400 turboprop plane that used to be angry by an unauthorized takeoff spherical 8 p.m. native time had crashed.
